Valve's Steam Summer Sale 2026 is scheduled to close today, July 9, at 10 AM Pacific — and by the time you're reading this, it may already be gone. We double-checked prices on the live Steam store just before publishing this roundup, so everything below was still discounted moments ago. Don't wait around to find out if that's still true.
Every genre-focused deals list on this site has already covered horror, indie, racing, RPGs, shooters, co-op, and puzzle/platformer picks — including our general best-deals-right-now roundup . This one is different: it's a last-call list of AAA blockbusters, several of which are hitting their lowest-ever Steam price for the first time this sale.
Big single-player picks going out with the sale
| Game | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| $14.99 (was $59.99, 75% off) | Steam Deck Playable — Rockstar's open-world epic at one of its cheapest points ever | |
| $35.99 (was $59.99, 40% off) | Steam Deck Verified — includes the Iki Island expansion | |
| $29.99 (was $59.99, 50% off) | Steam Deck Verified — FromSoftware's toughest game, GOTY edition bundles all extra content | |
| $23.99 (was $59.99, 60% off) | Steam Deck Playable — its lowest price since launch | |
| $17.99 (was $59.99, 70% off) | Steam Deck Playable — third-person Warhammer action at its best price yet |
This year's biggest releases, discounted for the first time
| Game | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| $44.99 (was $59.99, 25% off) | Steam Deck Verified — has never been discounted more than 25% since its 2023 launch, so this is as good as it gets | |
| $34.99 (was $69.99, 50% off) | Carries a Steam Deck Verified badge, but reviewers report rough default performance on Deck — check your settings before buying if you're playing handheld | |
| $35.99 (was $44.99, 20% off) | Steam Deck Playable — 2025's Game Awards breakout, turn-based combat with real-time reactions | |
| $13.99 (was $39.99, 65% off) | Steam Deck Verified — includes the Yuffie-focused INTERmission episode; good primer if you're catching up before Rebirth |
If you've already got Rebirth running and just need Remake to catch up on the story, it's worth knowing that Valve shipped a fix for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth crashes on Steam Deck and SteamOS back on July 1, so the whole trilogy-in-progress is in good shape on handheld right now.
Under $10 before the sale ends
| Game | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| $5.99 (was $59.99, 90% off) | Steam Deck Playable — the 2023 remake, one of the sale's steepest AAA cuts | |
| $6.99 (was $69.99, 90% off) | Steam Deck Unsupported — anti-cheat blocks it from running natively on Deck or Steam Machine, buy for a desktop PC only | |
| $1.49 (was $14.99, 90% off) | Steam Deck Verified — roguelike classic, practically a rounding error at this price |
A quick note on that Modern Warfare II Unsupported rating: it's not a performance issue, it's the anti-cheat, and that applies across the board — a Steam Machine won't fare any better than a Deck here since both run the same SteamOS/Proton stack. If you want it, it needs to be for a Windows PC.
That's the list. If the countdown clock hits zero before you finish reading, everything above should snap back to full price — that's how Steam sales work, no grace period. Prices and Steam Deck ratings were confirmed directly on the Steam store shortly before this was published.
