
Steam Deck update brings a remote download manager, quick chat, battery indicators, and Wi-Fi improvements, along with several fixes.
On April 28, the Steam Deck received a new system update on the stable channel, bringing various fixes and new features.
New remote download manager
Now you can manage downloads from another device running the Steam client, such as a mobile phone.
Steam Chat has been moved to the quick access menu, making it more accessible during gameplay. A quick chat mode for Steam Deck and Big Picture is also included, featuring quick messages that can be customized in keyboard settings.
Power indicators for controllers
A low battery notification for wireless controllers has been added, as well as a battery indicator for these devices.
Login and Wi-Fi options
The Switch to desktop option has been added to the login screen. Additionally, compatibility with Wi-Fi networks requiring additional authentication has received optimizations.
Fixes and improvements
The update also brings a series of adjustments related to game recording, Steam Cloud, and Steam Input.
