Release date and platforms

Vampire Crawlers, the deck-building spin-off of the popular Vampire Survivors, is set to release on April 21, arriving on PC via Steam and on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Price and availability

The game costs £9.99 in the UK and €9.99 / $9.99 / ¥1200 in other regions. It will also launch on Xbox Game Pass on day one, with plans for Android and iOS later this year.

What the game is like

Described by the development team as a transformation of the fast-paced action of Vampire Survivors, Vampire Crawlers turns the gameplay into a first-person card experience that offers a new perspective on the series' world.

First impressions

A preview of the demo, done by reporter Bertie, points out specific successes but is not entirely convincing. In moments of fighting waves of enemies and facing bosses, the idea recalls the original material, however the accelerated pacing interrupts immersion.

In terms of cards, the gameplay is described as little explored in terms of strategy, suggesting room for improvement.

Stay tuned for the official teaser for more details on the proposal.
