Europe runs out of stock of the Steam Deck, joining the US, Canada, and Asia; OLED faces memory/storage scarcity and LCD is out of production.
Steam Deck availability has worsened: Europe is out of stock, joining the US, Canada, and Asia, where the product is already unavailable.
In scans across several European Union countries, all three models appear out of stock.
OLED vs LCD: What's Behind It
As already informed by Valve, the issue with the OLED stems from a shortage of memory and storage; the LCD screen model is no longer in production and is not expected to return.
In the United Kingdom, however, all three models are still in stock at the moment.
We hope the situation normalizes soon, as the Steam Deck is one of the most popular handheld PCs. The current shortage may also impact the launch of other Valve devices, such as the Steam Frame and the Steam Machine.
