OLED Steam Deck returns to stock, but only as refurb
The Steam Deck OLED reappears in stock even with supply chains still strained. This time, however, it does not appear as a new unit: only certified refurb models are available.
Refurbished devices undergo rigorous testing and usually only present minor cosmetic blemishes. Furthermore, the price drops by up to 20%, with the 512 GB OLED model in stock costing US$439, compared to US$549 for a new unit.
At the time of publication, only the 512 GB refurb Steam Deck OLED is available, while the three new models remain unavailable. There were also reports of 256 GB LCD stock, but this information was not maintained.
According to Valve, refurb models maintain the same 1-year warranty as new ones, come with a refurbished power supply, a carrying case, and a quick start guide.
2026 in focus: Valve's trio receives delay without a firm date
While Valve deals with the shortage, the company maintains plans for a hardware “triple-header” this year, including Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and the new Steam Controller. Although they were announced for early 2026, they have been postponed without a concrete date, with only the indication that they might arrive this year.
If you are keeping an eye on these novelties, it is worth considering the refurb options, especially if the stock does not last.
