Montabi, the creature-collecting roguelike deckbuilder, enters a limited-time open beta. The title, developed by Mankibo and published by Akupara Games, will be available on Steam from March 10 to 17, 2026.
During the testing phase, players will be able to explore a large part of the game's systems. There will be 22 Montabi evolution lines appearing as both allies and enemies, as well as three playable trainers with exclusive starting Charms.
The beta also brings nine Elite encounters and six bosses, distributed across three distinct areas totaling 30 events. Over 170 Charms, equipment items, and supplies will be available for experimentation, with five difficulty levels: Casual, Rookie, Challenger, Expert, and Veteran.
About the Game
Montabi is a title that combines creature collecting, roguelike elements, and deckbuilding, featuring turn-based battles on a 3x3 grid. The objective is to tame Montabi, build powerful decks, and save the city. Each Montabi can evolve, unlock new abilities, and form synergies that influence the outcome of each battle.
History and Release
The game was first announced in 2025. The initial demo was released in June 2025, followed by a major update in November of the same year. The final release date has not yet been announced.
