Crimson Dusk and Playism announced improvement plans for Homura Hime, with a focus on performance and changes coming. The team thanks players for their support, noting that the title achieved a Very Positive rating on Steam and has surpassed 600 reviews.

Among the priorities are:

• General game optimization
• Bug fixes
• Inclusion of collectible records in each chapter
• Adjustments to combat mechanics, such as lock-on and behavior of smaller enemies
• Adjustments to platforming sections, such as spacing between platforms and path tracing

Steam Deck support and a higher difficulty mode will be worked on progressively once the above issues are resolved. Regarding save data corruption issues, the team recommends contacting support for assistance.

About the game

During gameplay, you follow Homura Hime as she confronts archdemons possessed by misguided emotions, seeking the truth behind these threats and her own past.

The title offers flashy combos that require parry and dodge; as you progress, you unlock new abilities and attacks.

Developed by the Taiwanese indie team Crimson Dusk, founded in 2020, Homura Hime originated as a solo project by Sam, who revealed its prototype in a contest in 2018.

The game takes place in a world where humans and demons coexist, with archdemons threatening to corrupt the world.

The High Priestess sends Homura Hime, the Flame Princess, and the strongest exorcist, along with her helper Ann, on a divine mission to purify the world and defeat these demonic threats. Along the journey, you will face five extremely powerful demon girls.
