The Adventures of Elliot receives the Steam Deck Verified seal two months in advance, indicating compatibility and expected performance at 720p/low.
Verification that anticipates the experience on the Steam Deck
Square Enix's HD-2D style returns with The Adventures of Elliot, whose launch is scheduled for June 18. The game, which carries the aesthetic seen in Octopath Traveler and the Dragon Quest 1-3 remasters, has already received the Steam Deck Verified seal, attesting to good compatibility with Valve's handheld.
With a little over two months until launch, Valve confirms the authenticity of the seal, ensuring that the title works well with default graphics settings, that the controls are stable, and that in-game icons and text remain readable.
Regarding requirements, CPU and GPU specifications appear a bit high, but the goal is to maintain 720p, low preset, and 60 FPS at minimum requirements. In practice, there may be drops to around 45 FPS, but the experience should remain fluid for handheld use.
The game can be pre-purchased before the release, scheduled for June 18.
