A new version of the Steam Deck is underway, with the promise of a significant overhaul that will bring more power and modern features to Valve's handheld.

Valve confirmed that it is working hard on the Steam Deck 2. Griffais stated that the company's hardware history traces a clear path between the Steam Controller, the Steam Machine, the Steam Deck, and everything Valve announces and releases, anticipating that the Deck 2 will follow that same trajectory to gain experience with current innovations.
