Steam Controller price leaked: $99 and launch could happen at any moment

Gamers can now get ready to invest in the Steam ecosystem: the price of the Steam Controller has surfaced in a leak that suggests an upcoming launch.

According to a video review that appears to have gone live ahead of schedule, the Steam Controller could cost $99. At the current exchange rate, this is around £75, making it more expensive than the standard Xbox Series controller and the DualSense.

The material describes the trackpads as extremely intuitive, even though they do not reach the speed and precision of a conventional mouse. The D-pad and front buttons are also presented as advancements compared to the Steam Deck, with the build being solid, even without including all the functionality of some ultra-expensive controllers.

The combination of unlisted unboxing videos found on the Steam Controller store page, along with the appearance of related content, fuels expectations of an imminent launch.

Fans are also waiting for the availability of the Steam Machine and Steam Frame headsets soon, although there is no official confirmation.
