About the game

Marukereba Studio, an independent studio, has introduced The Parking Garage, a first-person horror experience that focuses on observing anomalies within a parking garage.

Unlike traditional scares, the title eliminates jumpscares and builds tension through silent moments and keen surveillance.

How it works

Players start on the eighth floor of a multi-level parking garage and must examine each floor to decide if there is an anomaly.

  • Simple yet challenging rules: detect an anomaly and go down; if everything seems normal, go up.
  • You need to make seven consecutive correct decisions to reach the first floor and open the exit.
  • One mistake resets your progress.

The game features 40 anomalies that subtly distort the environment. Once identified, they are removed from the rotation, increasing the challenge with each round.

Each session lasts between 15 minutes and 2 hours, offering a quick pick-up-and-play experience, but with room for exploration for those who want to find every anomaly.

Purpose and audience

The title was designed for horror-curious players who prefer a less intense experience, centered on strange changes that turn a familiar space into something unsettling.

Release note: The Parking Garage has its Steam page live ahead of its scheduled release in the spring of 2026.

Ready for the challenge?

Now we want to hear your opinion: would you take on a horror game that relies on careful observation instead of immediate scares? Let us know in the comments which aspect you find most intriguing — the silent tension, the anomalies that appear gradually, or the challenge of making seven correct decisions in a row.
